CSW Making a Difference!
Today is Earth Day and we wanted to share with you some of the results we have seen from our Solar Panels since being powered on Nov 17, 2021, while also highlighting how the Solar Panel’s protect our environment.
Solar panels do not produce emissions out into the environment while generating energy. The clean energy from the Sun slashes down gas emissions while also conserving earth’s resources through renewable energy.
Since our Solar Panels went live, we have generated a total of 84,570 kWh of power. It is projected that for our first year, we are on pace to save 93 metric tons of CO2 from being released into the environment! To put 93 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into perspective:
This is equivalent to greenhouse gas emissions from:
19.8 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year.
230,864 miles driven by an average gasoline-powered passenger vehicle.
This is equivalent to CO2 emissions from:
10,466 gallons of gasoline consumed.
102,905 pounds of coal burned.
11.7 homes of energy use for one year.
11,313,712 number of smartphones charged.
This is equivalent to carbon sequestered by:
1,538 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.
We continue to look for ways to not only reduce our Carbon footprint but also to help the long term sustainability of our local communities by “GOING GREEN”!
