Capital Steel & Wire turned and polished bars are completed with a uniform defect-free, decarb-free, scale-free, bright surface with tight size tolerances and concentricity that improves machinability. We can supply these in all carbon and alloy grades.

Turning hot roll bars is a cold machining process that removes (peels) the surface to improve dimensional control and removes superficial elements that may be detrimental to the parts being produced. An additional grinding operation can be added to further tighten the dimensional tolerances of the bars.
