Check out the blog below to learn more about his career evolution, his love for the Michigan outdoors, and a much more!

How many years have you been with CSW?

5 years and 4 months

What first brought you to the team, and how has your role evolved since your first day?

I was on my way to Meijer and saw the help wanted sign in the drive. My role has changed a few times since becoming the plant manager in Ithaca. I started as a level 1 on the draw bench in Mason, worked my way up to level 3. After achieving my level 3 i then got the supervisor position. After that I had transferred to maintenance. Then I was approached by Fred Render about Ithaca and the plant manager position.

What was the first album or CD you ever bought with your own money?

Pink Floyd The Wall

What is the story behind your favorite souvenir or the most interesting decoration on your desk?

A case knife that was bought for me. Same knife my father carried for most his life.

If you were going on a trip, would you prefer a city full of history and museums or a quiet cabin in the woods?

Cabin in the woods!!! I much prefer animals and nature to people.

What part of your morning routine helps you get into a productive mindset for the workday?

I get in about 30 minutes before everyone else, that is my time to plan my day (best I can). Get my truck count for the day, finish up anything i did not get to yesterday. And then check my emails to ensure I did not miss anything.

Looking back at the last year, what is one project or accomplishment you are particularly proud of?

I would have to say my team. I am amazed at how lucky I have gotten with the employees who have found their way to CSW Ithaca. I dont think things would be going as well as they are if I did not have my team.

Early Bird or Night Owl: When do you get your best thinking done?

I have always been a night owl. I am not a morning person at all. That being said, with my newer role and travel time I tend to be up no later then 7PM during the work week.

Coffee, Tea, or Something Else!: How do you fuel your mornings?

Monster!!! But only the “WHITE” or zero ultra. After that it is coffee or MT. Dew.

When the weather is perfect, where is your favorite place in Michigan to spend a weekend?

Rivers & streams. Love water but not so much the people it attracts. So we usually go and check out rivers and streams.

What is a common challenge in your daily work that most people don’t realize exists, and how do you overcome it?

Just remembering things, I have a horrible memory.

Do you have any pets? If so, tell me their name(s).

Currently downstate home I have 3 fish, they are Raphael Catfish. Up north home we have 1 dog (Monte) and 2 cats (Lou lou and Miles).

What is the one hobby or interest that has stuck with you through every stage of your life?

Hunting and Off-roading
